Fall Snippets!

Fall, autumn, harvest...whatever you call it, I believe it is one of the most difficult transitional season for most people. We are still saying goodbye to our beloved summer fun. We have just been enjoying those endless summer days and here we are getting ready to store nature's excess harvest for the upcoming winter.
This is not a season to be met with dread! We have the incredible beauty of crimson, yellow, and orange leaves that will then drop to nourish the earth for the growing season in the spring. We are harvesting, canning, and cleaning the house that we forgot we had because we spent the summer outdoors!

Mother Nature reminds us with the shorter days that it is time to transition to more time indoors. The subtle changes in dropping temps remind us to get inside earlier at night so we can unwind. It should not be a time to dread the inevitable cold months. It's a time of blessing and favor for all of the gifts of summer. We should be grateful for all of he movement, vibrancy, and summer sunshine highs. This is perhaps one of my favorite times autumnal bliss! It is a validation that it's okay to slow down a bit, kind of like coming back from an awesome vacation, but accepting that it's time to unpack, re-frame and yield to the present. So let’s wave goodbye to summer with each leaf that falls from the trees. Let’s culminate this season in a formal celebration of thanksgiving.

It is simply a season of thanks and giving…simply preparing your heart and home for the next season.
