Spring Snippets!

March signifies the promise of springtime.  It is the first of the three months of the season.  The clock is “pushed forward,” as we gain an hour of natural daylight.  The birds return filling the air with their sweet songs and joyful trills of anticipation. This is the first song of spring – these joyful, sweet melodies resounding with hope.

As we spring up and reach out from the cold and dark of the winter months giving thanks for that quiet, yen, reflective time - it is now time to move forward - renewed from all of that rest and rejuvenation.
The March wind blows in and moves away all the stagnation of winter stillness, with a lingering fresh smell in the air.  It begins to stir up some excitement with its’ winds of change.

Keep in mind though, that spring is a season, not a month.  Just as the seasons change, it is a gradual process with many variables, not a calendar date. Take caution not to hurry the season.  We need to take our time to transition, and experience the process. The bulbs that have been nestled into the earth will now spring forth with lush green leaves contrasting the rich, brown soil.  We need to be more like the flowers, however. They are slower to bloom as they wait patiently for the warmth of the sun and longer days. They will then contrast the lush green of the leaves, boasting the sound knowing of their purpose and timing.
