The end of February seems a long way off from the new year that we just embraced with all of our best intentions. Now, most of us need revised or better intentions! Ever wish sometimes that you could just hit the refresh button and things will run more smoothly??? Maybe a reboot or restart – that is always the first task in troubleshooting on a computer. Close the browser and delete history… too many apps open… How about your personal operating system? Are you taking time to reset before a full diagnostic assessment or repair is needed? I'm not really talking a full factory reset here. We all know how our electronic devices need charging, backing up, and care to delete the extra data before our storage capacity is full. We also need to be cognizant of our personal operating system or self-care so we stay rested, rejuvenated, and backed up to run at optimal performance. Our body will often exhibit signs of overload and faulty systems. Too often, we wait until one of the systems freeze before hitting the esc button frantically! We need a maintenance plan. Take a quick check of your personal operating system – do you power off easily and maintain adequate battery life for the tasks in a day? What is the best operating system for you? Running on an outdated operating system for some people can work well because it is comfortable and adequately gets the job done – ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’ Upgrades are fine for the right reason and the right person, but take care not to overwhelm or overload. Make sure that your real-time operating system doesn't require more than you can handle. Choose carefully so you do not drain your battery. Does your electronic device continually warn you that your storage is almost full and you may need to upgrade? You need to be proactive with cleaning up or deleting programs that overload your system and schedules. Do you have too many apps? Most free apps are demanding time stealers in disguise. One more game to play, task to attend to, or addicting riotous fun that robs our space and time if not careful. Why then do we think our bodies can take on more appointments and commitments than we have the capacity for? Often we don't even realize that there is an issue until our own operating system is bogged down with multiple applications open. By then we have to force a shutdown! Beware of the things that drain you, and may be getting in the way of your goals. Don’t bog down your personal operating system….It's time to hit the refresh button in your life!

...always be the love that you are, Cheri
