What Are We Waiting For?

All too often, we wait for an unfortunate situation to occur before we can recognize how fortunate we are. Most of us run on autopilot with our active schedules. Try as we might to get to the end of our to-do list, it is seldom ‘ta-done!’ Unless we consciously create space for the balance that makes our heart sing in a day, we often come away from the day feeling cheated out of ‘time’ or experiences.
We all think it - not now…tomorrow…later…. But, waiting for more time only begets more waiting, not more time!
Don’t wait for a tragedy to reach out and help others…be there in the good times so the bad times are not so awkward.
Are you waiting for one more thing to fall into place so you can be happy? Make the most of what is right in front of you, and happiness will find you in the moment.
Don’t hold back your prayers for peace and oneness until the times when you feel discord with humanity.
Open your wallet and give generously on a regular basis, don’t wait for an organized cause.
Waiting for more time? We do not have the time - we make the time.
Always leave it better than you found it – don’t wait for the next time.
Don’t ignore the ignitable – it doesn’t take much to be the ray in someone’s day.
Actions of character make a greater impact than negative words; Stand up for what you believe by walking in it, rather than waiting for someone else to fix it. In the words of Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Sometimes these actions will require a conscious effort, but if you practice serving, giving, and knowing how to live as one, it becomes natural. The waiting is dissolved when you breathe in with an open heart and open arms to receive life as it is - when the present moment is the gift, and when your soul resonates with joy in each breath.
.....always be the love that you are
