'Awe-Thentic Love'

This Valentine’s Day, how about if you take some time to get in touch with the beautiful you that you are! Take a fresh look at yourself, and recognize all that you do and are for others. It’s time to appreciate the heart -centeredness of wonderful you! They say the key to truly loving others begins with loving yourself. Pamper yourself with a little self-love.

Sounds easy enough. However, as soon as we start to look inward we seem to find some shortcomings with ourselves. I do love myself – but – if only… I were… I could… Stand in the love that you are without comparison to others, wishing you were or had something that isn’t realistic (a.k.a. that 25-year-old firm and energetic body when you are now 60 years old) Know that you are more awe-thentic now that you stand strong in the years of experience life has brought to you.

Think back to a time when you felt your best and your passion for life was on fire through your strengths. What were you doing…raising children – crafting - your job - church choir – volunteering? Perhaps you could find a new interest where that special part of you - that is only you - can shine! Maybe you are already there….awe-some!

Celebrate the awe-thentic love that you are – you are the awe-thor of your own awe-thenticity – you are a beautiful awe-filled being that only you can be in this world – be your awe-to-biography, not someone else’s biography! If there are certain character traits that you wish to embellish, or crowd out, then by all means embrace the positive character traits that you desire to be until it becomes awe-thentically you.

It’s never to late to be great – take time to grow in your own love. Look inward and connect, so you can shine out that awesome you! It is then that your awe-thenticity will beam out of your smile and your essence! It will become a feeling that you are free to live in joy, and to expand that light of awe-thentic love to everyone. Give yourself a big hug, shine out and always be the awe-thentic love that you are!
